New Seattle gm Ray Meade has been very busy this offseason, making deal after deal to ensure his ball club has an excellent chance of competing in the very competitive American League. He has added players such as Jason Bay, Erik Bedard, Jason Shmidt, Dmitri Young, and Howie Kendrick. With already one of the top bullpens in all of baseball, the Mariners also have a very solid pitching rotation with a mix of young and veteran starters. They also plan on putting a very speedy team out on the field compliments od Ichiro, Betancourt, Kendrick, and Elijiah Duke whom they acquire through a trade with Washington. Although they have traded many of their top prospects in order to get the team they haved now, they feel like they have a solid team that can compete for the next few years.
