Detroit Free Press: Tigers Offseason Update
The Tigers so far have had quite a busy offseason making a lot of trades, and making a run at K-Rod but eventually dropping out of the race for him, his current offer is over 25 million dollars, dont blame em for dropping out. Perhaps the biggest move so far this offseason was the trade with the Red Sox and the Tigers aquired young closer phenom Johnathon Papelbon for last years closer Rafel Perez and Connor Robertson. The other big move was trading Delmon Young, the tigers top prospect, for Clayton Kershaw a great young pitcher with a lot of potential and Adam LaRoche another possible future all star 3B who will most likely be moved over to fill the 2B void. The Tigers arent done yet and are looking to trade their number 1 starter in Jeremy Bonderman. And are keeping there ears open for trade offers for Justin Verlander who spent most of last year on the DL. Tigers fan have somthing to hope for at the start of the season because this Tigers team IMO look the best they have in a LONG time.
