Rumors have been swirling around Minute Maid Park recently, due to the high payroll. Astros GM Josh Miller stated that he would like to free up some money by trading a key Player away before the deadline. When asked this past weekend which player he would entertain trade to, Miller said "It will take some time to put together a package we are comfortable with. The pervious GM had mortgaged this ball clubs future for the now, and we aren't wining now" Despite it being so early in the season and the teams medicore 4-8 record. Miller said "It's never too early to plan for the future." A few key names have been rumored to be on the trading block, such as: Roy Oswalt, C.C. Sabathia, Lance Berkamn, and Carlos Lee. All of the mentioned names are locked up for the long term, however, the only player due to be a FA next year is C.C. Sabathia. The Astros may be thinking about dumping him before the deadline, if the astros continue to struggle.
